Community Guidelines
Styled by Alhambra is mostly a private place — your closet is your own. These Guidelines are about the part other people can see: posts, comments, your profile, and anything you share with friends or publicly. They tell you what we expect, what we check, and what happens if we get something wrong.
1. What you may not share
- Sexual content, nudity, or graphic violence.
- Hate speech or harassment — attacks on people because of who they are, or targeting anyone with abuse.
- Content promoting self-harm or encouraging anyone to hurt themselves.
- Impersonation — pretending to be another person or brand.
- Spam — repetitive, bulk, or deceptive posting.
- Other people's private information — addresses, phone numbers, or anything else that isn't yours to share.
- Anything unlawful, or anything the Terms prohibit.
These rules apply to your profile too: your name, your @handle, your bio, your style tags, the links on your profile, and the names you give the looks other people can see all have to follow the same rules as a post.
2. Age
You must be at least 13 to have an account.
If you're under 18, your account works differently, and you don't have to do anything to switch it on:
- You can't share anything publicly.
- You don't turn up when other people browse or search for new accounts to follow.
- You can still share with friends and close friends, and choose specific people to share with.
3. What we check automatically
Before a post is published, we run an automated check over its photos and its text — the caption, the look's name, and any sponsorship disclosure. If the check doesn't come back clean, the post isn't published and we tell you at that moment.
The same check runs on comments. A comment that doesn't come back clean stays visible to you, is held from everyone else, and isn't counted — it isn't deleted, so a mistake can be undone.
It also runs on profile photos (viewers see your initials instead if it doesn't clear) and on the profile text listed in section 1, which is refused at save.
If our check can't run, we hold the content rather than show it. A check that fails, times out, or can't reach its provider is never treated as a pass.
Being honest about the limits: automated checking is not the same as a human reading everything, and some of the rules above — impersonation, spam, and other people's private information — have no reliable automatic detector. Those we act on when someone reports them.
4. What you can do
- Report a post or an account. Reports go to us, not to the person you reported, and nothing happens to them automatically — a person reviews it. If something else needs reporting, email us and it reaches the same place.
- Block anyone. Blocking works in both directions and beats every sharing setting: you disappear from each other's feeds, searches, and profiles. It also removes any follows and likes between you.
- Take down your own content, or delete your account, at any time.
- Choose who sees what. Sharing settings are per item, and you can make exceptions for specific people.
5. What we do about reports
We read the reports people send us and we may remove content that breaks these Guidelines. Removal is a withdrawal, not a deletion — the content stops being visible to anyone and can be put back if we were wrong.
We're a small team and we review reports by hand. We don't promise a response time, and we won't pretend to: what we promise is that a person reads it.
Our rights to suspend or end an account are set out in the Terms.
6. If we act on your content
We'll tell you. You'll get a notice in your inbox saying what happened.
You can reply to it. If you think we got it wrong, open the notice and tell us why. Your reply goes to the same people who made the original decision, and a person reads it. If we agree we were wrong, we put your content back and let you know.
One reply per notice, and one round of review — we'd rather tell you that plainly than leave you writing into a void.
7. Changes
We'll update this page as the product changes, and we'll update the date at the top when we do. We try to only describe things we actually do; if you find a line here that doesn't match your experience, please tell us — that's a bug in this page.
