Privacy Policy
Styled by Alhambra LLC ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Styled by Alhambra mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. Please read it carefully. If you do not agree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.
1. Information We Collect
Account & profile information
- Account credentials: Email address and authentication tokens when you register, including if you sign in via Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple.
- Profile data: Display name, a short bio, and self-chosen style tags you add to your profile.
- Style quiz answers: Responses to our onboarding style quiz (approximately 12 questions about aesthetic preferences). No sensitive categories — such as health, race, or religion — are asked.
Photos & visual content
Photos are central to how the Service works. We collect and process the following types of images:
- Clothing item photos: Photos of garments and accessories you upload to build your digital wardrobe. These are stored in our cloud infrastructure and processed by AI to generate automatic tags (see "AI-derived data" below).
- Outfit-of-the-day photos: Photos of you wearing clothes. These are personal photos that are currently private by default and are never shared with or visible to other users unless you explicitly choose to share them when social features are enabled.
- Receipt & purchase photos: Screenshots or photos of receipts you upload. These may contain purchase history, merchant names, prices, and partial address or order information. We extract clothing-related line items and prices; the image itself is processed through our AI system to identify relevant data.
- Product link images: When you paste a product URL, we fetch the product page and associated image to display the item in your wardrobe.
To access your camera or photo library, the app will request your permission. You may deny or revoke this permission at any time through your device settings, though doing so will limit core features of the Service.
AI-derived data
We use artificial intelligence to analyze your content and generate insights. This produces the following types of derived data:
- Automatic clothing tags: Category, color, pattern, material, and other attributes generated by sending photos to OpenAI's image analysis models.
- Content moderation results: Every photo uploaded is automatically screened by OpenAI's content moderation system. Moderation verdicts are stored to maintain a safe environment.
- Image embeddings: Mathematical representations (vector fingerprints) of your photos used to identify similar items and power outfit matching. These are not reversible back into the original photo.
- Wear history & feedback: Records of which outfits were worn and when, outfit suggestions you saved or dismissed, and cost-per-wear calculations derived from your purchase data.
- Outfit recommendations: AI-generated outfit suggestions based on your wardrobe, style preferences, and contextual signals such as weather. These are recommendations only and do not constitute personal styling advice.
Usage & behavioral data
- In-app activity: Features you access, items you interact with, outfit feedback, and general navigation patterns within the app.
- Device information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers necessary to provide and maintain the Service.
- Push notification tokens: If you grant permission for push notifications, we collect the device token required to send them. You may disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
- Log data: IP address, access timestamps, and technical request logs generated in the normal course of operating our servers.
- Crash & error reports: Technical crash details and error logs to identify and fix software problems. These capture technical state information (stack traces, device state) and are stripped of user content before logging. Crash reporting may be enabled or disabled; when enabled, it is disclosed in this policy and in the App Store privacy labels.
Location data
The Service currently uses a default regional setting — not your actual location — to fetch weather data for outfit suggestions. Weather queries are sent to Open-Meteo using only coordinates, with no identifying information attached. A per-user precise or approximate location feature has been built but is not currently active. If and when it is enabled, we will update this policy and display an in-app permission prompt before collecting any location data.
Social & community data
The Service includes social features (the ability to follow other users, share outfits publicly, and interact with community content) that are currently disabled. All user content is private by default. When social features are enabled, we will collect and process content you choose to share publicly, follower/following relationships, and any reports or moderation actions. We will update this policy before enabling social features.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect advertising identifiers, health or biometric data, device contacts, financial payment information (we do not currently process purchases), or precise GPS location without your explicit permission.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:

3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as described below.
Third-party service providers
We engage the following third-party services to operate the Service. Each receives only the data necessary to perform its function:
- OpenAI — Photo tagging, outfit generation, content moderation, and image similarity matching. Receives uploaded photos, garment metadata, and style profile text. Governed by OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
- Google Firebase — User authentication (sign-in, auth tokens). Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare R2 — Cloud storage for all uploaded photos and images. Governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Neon (PostgreSQL) — Database hosting for all app data. Governed by Neon's Privacy Policy.
- Railway — Application server hosting. Receives all app traffic in transit. Governed by Railway's Privacy Policy.
- Open-Meteo — Weather data retrieval. Receives only coordinates (currently a default regional location, not your personal location). Governed by Open-Meteo's Terms.
- Sentry / Firebase Crashlytics — Crash and error reporting (may be enabled or disabled). When active, receives technical error data stripped of user content. Governed by Sentry's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
- Payment processor (Stripe, intended) — When in-app purchases are introduced, we intend to use Stripe for payment processing. At that time, Stripe will receive payment card information directly and we will update this policy accordingly. We do not store payment card numbers on our servers. Governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Retail & affiliate partners (future) — If and when we enable affiliate or commerce features, product interaction data (such as items you click or save from external retailers) may be shared with those partners for attribution purposes. We will update this policy and display appropriate disclosures before enabling these features.
Other sharing
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to the same privacy protections.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Company, our users, or the public.
- With your consent: We may share data for other purposes with your explicit consent.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (see Section 6), we permanently delete your database records, stored photos, and sign-in credentials. Certain technical logs and anonymized aggregate data may be retained for operational or legal purposes. Backup copies are purged on a rolling schedule not to exceed 30 days.
5. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users under 13 are prohibited from creating an account. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at Sarahelchantaf@styledbyalhambra.com and we will delete that information promptly. When social features are enabled, we will apply age-appropriate content moderation consistent with our age rating.
6. Account Deletion & Your Data
You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time. Deletion is permanent and removes your database records, all uploaded photos, and your sign-in credentials from our systems.
To delete your account:
- In the app: go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, or
- Submit a written request to Sarahelchantaf@styledbyalhambra.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request."
Deletion is processed immediately upon confirmation. This right is provided in compliance with Apple App Store guidelines, Google Play requirements, and applicable privacy laws.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws (including the CCPA and GDPR), including the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your personal data (see Section 6).
- Port your data in a machine-readable format.
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.
California residents (CCPA): We do not sell your personal information and have not done so in the preceding 12 months. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at Sarahelchantaf@styledbyalhambra.com.
8. Security
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted storage of photos (Cloudflare R2), secure authentication (Firebase), and access controls on our database and servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the Service at your own risk.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our data practices evolve (for example, when social or commerce features are enabled). We will notify you of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, through in-app notification or email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
